CHAPTER 1: All About The American Revolution
Why and How It started
The American Revolution Started in 1775, it started because while Britain were making colonies around the world, they made colonies in America. So were a lot of other countries also doing. Since a lot of countries wanted more land in the continent, they started fighting for it! This fight was called the “French and Indian war”. But it was not only the French and the Indians who were involved. A lot of other countries were also involved and because of this war Britain sent many British soldiers so that the soldiers could help the British colonists win and fight. That was a lot of help because during the war Britain in a way won a lot of land. And the French and Indians lost more land. After this war the British had lost a lot of supplies and money. Since they needed this they started taxing the colonists. They said that, since they had helped them in the French and Indian war, now it was their turn to help them to pay them back. This made the colonists mad, they called it «Taxation without representation is tyranny!» Which sure was true. The first Tax was called « The Sugar Act» This meant that the Americans had to pay extra money for things like, sugar, sugar cubes, molasses, etc.
The next tax was called «The Quartering Act». This Act meant that all people living in America that were British colonists had to host any British soldier or someone who lead the soldiers into their house and give them everything they needed and also supplies this meant things like; beer, food, clothes, a new gun if necessary, ammunition, new shoes if old ones small or broken, etc.
The next tax was called «The Navigation Act». This meant that only British goods were allowed to be traded and bought. Not any-thing from any other continents or countries was allowed!
After the Navigation Act, there was another tax called « The Stamp Act». This tax meant that all printed paper like; Birth certificates, Marriage license, playing cards, and even newspapers they had to pay taxes on!
All of this taxing made the colonists really mad. So mad that they started protesting a lot. The Colonists wanted to be free, not controlled by Britain. So then they started fighting.
What Was It?
The American Revolution started in 1775 and ended in 1783. It was a fight for Independence for America from Britain. It was because the colonists did not want to be ruled by Britain any more. The Americans or colonists won this war and signed the «Treaty Of Paris» and was a free country.
What Happened?

When Lafayette was 33 years old his mom died; April 3, 1770 and his great-grandfather died; April 24, 1770.
Leaving To America
Lafayette left for America when he was 19 years old. This was because he had been told that there was a war in America and this inspired him to leave France and help America win the war. So he asked the King of France for permission to leave but the King did not allow it, he said, no. But Lafayette still wanted to! Since he still wanted to he secretly bought a ship called «La Victoire» and secretly went to America!
What Did He Do In America
In America he helped the Americans win the American Revolution. He wanted the British Colonists to be free from Britain. He was also a patriot that wanted America to be its own thing. He helped them with supplies and money, soldiers, and most of all he helped them win The Battle of Yorktown. He was also a general of the French and American soldiers.

Hope you enjoyed this chapter and I hope you will read the next chapter, I hope you like it.
CHAPTER 4: Lafayette was a lot of help to the Americans in the American Revolution.
Lafayette was a lot of help during the American Revolution, because he came with more supplies, he came with more soldiers, and most important he helped them win The Battle of Yorktown.
One reason that he helped the Americans during the American Revolution, was that he helped them with more supplies from France. One way he helped them with supplies is that he came with more guns and also ships. A second way he helped them with supplies is that he came with more ammunition, the reason that America needed ammunition was because they we’re so low on it they had to make it their-selves out of old pipes. A third way he helped them with supplies is that he came with money for things like food, clothes, and things they need for an everyday life.
Another reason that he helped the Americans during The American Revolution was that he helped them by bringing a lot of soldiers to fight. One way he helped with soldiers from France was that all of the American soldiers were just volunteers who did not really know how to fight. Another way he helped with soldiers is that all of the French soldiers were really well trained and they all had lots and lots of ammunition and they also all had a gun to fight with. A last way he helped with soldiers was by sending De Grasse and Rochambeau who helped bringing everything from France all the way to America.
A last reason that he helped the Americans during The American Revolution was by helping the American win the Battle of Yorktown. One way he helped the Americans win the battle of Yorktown, was by getting information from the spies who were spying on the British. Another way he helped the Americans win the Battle of Yorktown was by telling George Washington, where the British army was coming to attack and steal all of the supplies so the Americans would be standing all ready to fight and protect. A last way he helped the Americans win the Battle of Yorktown was by preparing all of America to be ready and fight. Now I hope you agree with my essay where I want you to know that La Fayette was really a lot of help during The American Revolution.
Hope you enjoyed the book. I also hope that you enjoyed Reading and also that you agreed with what I wrote like; the facts about the American Revolution, the facts about Lafayette and also that Lafayette was important because he helped them with important things they needed.
